HAPPY Monday!!!!! The more you do something, the better you become.
Tried to go for a 5 day fast last last week. I made it to 4 before breaking it. I learned a few things about myself during the fast. I learned that the hunger pains go away after the 1st 48 hrs. These pains came and left in waves not slowing growing until they got to an unbearable level or anything like that. Just waves. I also learned that my energy levels did not suffer from lack of food. I walked an average of 5.5 miles each day.
I succeed with an 4 day fast!
I ate, drank and was merry this weekend. The scale is down a tiny blip. THIS IS NOT a dehydrated weight. Every beer or glass of alcohol I drank between Friday and Sunday was matched with an equal amount of water. Guess what? This seriously limited my alcohol intake because I didn't want to spend all the time in the bathroom. I only ate 2 meals each day between Friday and Sunday(the evening meals were bigger than lunch).
In preparation for the upcoming -- 4 day "You can do it" fasting challenge -- starting on Sunday Jul 17, I am doing another 4 day fast that started last night after my last meal @ 6 pm and I will either end it after 6 pm on Wednesday or continue on through Thursday evening when I arrive in Virginia for a quick vacation getaway.
The more you do something, the better you become.
