Guess I should have skipped the pasta last night although it was the same two nests I eat every time and I fished the shrimp out of the garlic butter and weighed them and the “sauce” separately. That said, I got a nice swim in yesterday after cleaning the pool. The storms have made a real mess of things, so may tarp it for the midweek one. It was a nice day, got some stuff done, planning on hitting the store up for groceries and the car wash in a few minutes so no dilly dallying this morning.

Growing out my eyebrows in this pic, which, if you’ve ever done it, takes forever and you don’t know if you can actually undo damage from the past until you try. I should do a before and after the swim and include the raccoon eyes from my goggles.🥸

The swim itself was unremarkable. 877 strokes, started off easy, got much harder towards the end because the current is relentless and doesn’t stop for anyone except the timer, cough drop in my mouth the whole time. 10.4 METs which is the hardest water workout I’ve had in quite a long time because of the cough. Good to know I can still do it though. I’m going to do 30 minutes hard on each machine for three days in a row to compare the efforts just for fun. My friend back east who got sick almost the same day as me still sounds like crap so I’m happy to have moved past most of that. It’s supposed to be 78 today, so planning on another dunk once the clouds clear.

Blob down, muscle holding, one espresso in there for “water” as I forgot. Added an app for pics, we’ll see if it works.

Edit after randomish picture upload: Okay, other than me having way too many choices for frames and layouts, that worked with much less frustration that I’ve been experiencing lately. Don’t worry about my heart rate, I have fits with the watch reading at all in the water sometimes, so I tend to dismiss as accurate other than for comparison. Kinda like that whole smart scale thing. I get 3 days before I have to subscribe, so we’ll see how much easier it makes things.
