Now, this IS discouraging. Up a pound this morning and actually up higher than I was on Monday!

The only thing I can think that would be causing it is that my knee is KILLING me from going up and down stairs at least 15-20 times yesterday. My daughter wanted to clean my granddaughter's room (and she painted it) as a surprise for her. She sent me "before" pictures, and you couldn't see an inch of floor for all the dirty clothes that were strewn around the bedroom. Her dryer is STILL broken, so I offered to do all the laundry as my part of the surprise (her birthday is on Monday). Our laundry room is down five steep stairs, and I have done at least 8 loads of laundry already. I have about two more loads to do. There were SEVEN blankets in her floor, and 17 pairs of jeans! I haven't counted the shirts and dresses, but I've almost used a 50-pack of new hangers already, and that's without hanging up t-shirts or skirts.

I know I'm a whiner, and I even get tired of listening to myself complain so much. I ended up taking two pain pills during the day yesterday, and one in the middle of the night because I couldn't sleep for the pain. Taking one now this morning. We're supposed to get three hours of rain and/or thunderstorms today, so maybe that is part of the reason it hurts so badly - but mostly, it is over-use!

Took another pain pill and went back to bed for a bit. Still miserable!

It's very possible that's the reason for the gain, I'll bet that poor knee is badly inflamed. It needs rest, ice, compression and elevation. You could use some pampering today.

Don't get discouraged, I think I could skip food for 3 days and still gain a pound. So hard to maintain for me, let alone lose. For me it's about CICO and at this age I know I gain so easily if don't adhere. Good luck!! Hopefully sunny days ahead.

So sorry you are miserable in pain. What a wonderful thing you did for your granddaughter. She may not appreciate it now or realize what a physical cost it was to you. But someday she will remember and know how much you loved her and gave sacrificially. I with meonadiet in saying "Thank You" in case they don't. Sorry about the weight gain too but that's just how we humans are.

Sorry about your knee pain. That can cause stress which in turn can throw off your body's normal functioning.
