I figured how to do some deep squats without loading the spine. I use a bar that is set up to do rows, use the weighted dip belt with a chain, and wrap it around the bar between the cuff of the bar and the weights. Works great! The legs get a great stretch and it has me out of breath and sweating the same as normal deep squats.

Forgot to mention, I am also standing on a bumper plate to get a better stretch.

Hi D, does that mean you start at the bottom of the movement? Almost like a deadlift but for the squat? Also does the 45 hit you in the gut at all or do you have to select lower plates

I start at the bottom just like those machines that use a belt like this. And I don't want to use the 45s cause I won't be able to go down as far.
