Plugging along. Another hard-earned pound lost this morning. I'm getting there. It's freezing here! Everything is covered in snow, and it is supposed to continue snowing until 2pm this afternoon, when it will turn to rain. Our heat pump is struggling to keep the house warm. Only 61 degrees in here this morning. I find myself drinking more hot tea, just to get my hands warm. Oh well, at least that counts toward my water consumption, and the heavy whipping cream in it helps to keep my Fats up. Today, my big goal is to wash my hair, which desperately needs it.

I also might make my husband a devil's food cake. A friend had brought him some (4) chocolate cupcakes for his birthday with white icing. He said, "I sure wish these had German chocolate icing on them" (after he ate the first two). Well, I had a can of that icing in the pantry, so I removed the vanilla from the last two and replaced it with German chocolate. Now, I have almost a whole can left of that, which I hate to waste. German Chocolate Cake is my absolute favorite, but that's when the CAKE itself is also German Chocolate. Devil's Food Cake isn't that much of a temptation. Besides, when I was icing his cupcakes yesterday, I got a little on my finger, which I licked off, and it was almost sickeningly sweet. Don't think I'll have any trouble resisting it. He likes to have "dessert" after each mean - fortunately, he only eats one or at the most two meals a day, which is good for the dessert situation. Ok, well, enough about my husband's eating habits.

I'm only 1.2 pounds ahead of where the HealthyWage algorithm "expects" me to be to accomplish my goal in time. If everything is spaced out perfectly, I need to lose .3 (one-third) of a pound per day. No wiggle room for goofing off! Mind you, IIII was the one who set my goal so high (60 pounds in six months). I WANTED something that would challenge me and would force me to stay on track the whole time.

Ok, fingers have been out from under my blanket for too long -- gotta fix that hot tea and warm them back up!
