Happy weekend. Slept in a little this morning, only 1/2 hour extra, but I turned off all the alarms that went off before 7 so nothing woke me up. Mmmm, sleep good. Got up, showered and decided to cut my hair. Only two big chops, letting it dry curly today, we’ll find out if it was a disaster in about an hour or so. Life on the scissor’s edge. 🤣

Long walk last night, Friday’s are the best when i can get out earlier and be in the optimal places for sunsets and clouds. Mom is doing great, she went back to the foot surgeon for a post op and that is healing well. Yeah, there’s been a lot going on and some of that may have contributed to the event last week.

Puppies are doing well. They are all very clingy as I have been leaving them alone more often and for longer this last week. No one is being overly destructive, but Chance has been giving hugs lately which can be scary if you don’t know what’s happening. He is massive. On his back legs he stands about 6’. I should measure him nose to tail, I think he’s bigger than Hogan at this point. Glad he likes me.

So while my food has been a little less structured than usual (hello vending machine pudding cup), I kept within my normal range and kept walking, so no adverse outcome this week. Blob went up a little in the past two days, but that’s okay. We just push forward.

Again and again, the cardio thing comes up in my life. Gotta work that heart out, it will save you. I’m not going to argue method, just do it. Mom didn’t end up having a cardiac event, but not walking as much due to bone spurs and losing Sadie did have an impact on her overall well-being. That’s been addressed, now healing, but 8 months is a lifetime for decreased exercise. The lecture is for me, not anyone else. I need to do some serious me first stuff and not just cleaning the house. Haha because that has fallen by the wayside this past week.

Walkabout is tonight, don’t know our plan yet, but there will be walking. It’s a gorgeous day now, so will get dogs out. Time to walk away from the computer. Always keep your eyes open for a gorgeous sunset. These are all from different points on my walk. I have nothing quite like this view from the house, so wandering lets me discover all sorts of new things. Summer is settling down a bit, so it’s easier to take pics again.

top right one the clouds look like a face. Gorgeous sunsets. we have pines and birch out here in south Dakota so seeing pine trees is strange to see. 😂
