Some days the water is rough! I try my hardest. Got a water bottle that holds 64oz so I have a better way to keep track of it. I get sad when I run out of cucumbers for it though. 

Yes! You are right!! I, too, have a 64 oz bottle! My struggle lies from my med for ADHD/Binge eating disorder stimulant: I don't feel thirsty/hungry at times... especially when I'm busy within something.  

I love pizza but it is hard for me to eat and stay on plan.  

Yes! I can go a whole day without having much if I’m at work or just busy running or cleaning. I have to slow down and remind myself to at least be hydrated always, and not overeat at dinner because I didn’t eat during the day.  

How did you talk him out of his rigid thinking in back to having fun? 

Firstly, before being able to calm down my 10yr autistic/ADHD son, i had to find my calm, then called him upstairs to me. I had him sit with me and got him away from his friend; then asked him what he wanted to happen. I reminded him that other people have different point of views and inform him of his friends' want. Asked him what else does he think can happen to honor his friends idea and his own. He couldn't answer right away so I was downloading a game to my Xbox for his friend to play with my older son and let him think on that. With autism he isn't too cuddly, so we do the ET finger thing and a finger hug instead as an "i love you ritual" if he doesn't want a hug. Eventually, he calmed down and acknowledged he wants to have fun with friend, and they agreed on a different game to play, and the game that was downloading was finished so they could play it together instead of taking turns. (Some Xbox games are 1 player only and require 2 different Xboxs to play with another person)
