Ended up swimming in the dark last night. Love it, but didn't get out until around 9, and was super hungry at that point. Managed to keep it reasonable. That said, feeding late at night sticks with the scale in the morning, so since I'm not going to wait to weigh myself, the numbers are what they are. there's a cup of coffee with this as well. I think I decided that was 9 oz, not sweating it.

I seem to have new neighbors this morning, please, please make them good ones. I need to stop and make hummingbird juice before I get attacked. funny creatures.

and we're back from that brief intermission. the tiny avian overlords are pleased. it's interesting who shows up in the morning vs. the afternoons. mornings are the females, the boys race around in the evenings. I wish I could capture this pair flirting with one another, but they're just so fast. it's a male and a female so hopefully we'll have babies again. I don't know if they mate more than once a year, I'll ask my zoo friend.

blob is down this morning, muscle up slightly, I drank almost 80 oz of water yesterday, so I know I'm not dehydrated. I just need to refill again.

the swim: 825 strokes, average heart rate 143, 10.4 METs almost all of it in the lower end of the heart rate zone which is not how it felt. I might go back to the medium paddles because I get more active work in although the big ones are great for strength.

I've noticed my watch is constantly scolding me during the workday lately and telling me I'm not moving until I do. I wonder if it thinks I'm getting more efficient when I'm not actively moving. I just don't understand. going to row this morning so if can skip a swim if the day overtakes me. going out for dinner tonight. seaside, fancy. should be fun. guess I should try and tame the rat's nest on my head. after I row, obvi.
