Blob down, muscle up, water way up which it should be since I drank almost a gallon yesterday due to it being pretty hot and my seasonally newfound love of ice.

Since I'm pretty much housebound as far as walking with Hogan's recovery, I got a rower. Thanks to Tim Vail for the personal recommendation - I love it. I've been doing the Apple Fitness classes and am holding my own on the higher end of the progress bar thanks to a competitive streak that extends to people I cannot even see. I'm keeping her inside the house for now, as it's far away from my workstation and I can't be tempted.

6.9 METs (still less than swimming against the current)in 30 minutes, average heart rate 137, but operating mostly in cardio range with 4 minutes in peak. The rowing motion is somewhat contrary to swimming so it's a great alternate workout and my back looks cool. It's also helping that golfer's elbow thing I had going on for the same reason. Great for my legs and knees. Just really enjoying it more than the spin bike which I'm probably going to sell. Keeping the treadmill because we are each other's beyotch for eternity and the uphill incline is great for the butt. I've already worked up to 45 minutes, goal is to do an hour and still be able to function after. We're at the point in the year where it is effectively "hot rowing" since I rarely turn on the AC and it was 82 in the house after the sun went down. Opened the big doors, turned on a fan or two and did my thing. All that aside, swimming is my favorite and always will be. When I'm done working for money, will convert the office into a home gym/workshop/crafting area and maybe install an AC unit with solar to power it. All fantasy stuff for later in life.
