Pretty sure some of this loss is water weight....after all I just started a couple of days ago. It is enough encouragement to keep working at it. Gonna get to a point I'm consistently at or below goal 😁

I was convinced I'd be up this morning, in spite of eating below my calorie goal. Dinner was very filling. How can I eat steak....and lobster....and butter & not gain??

There will probably be some normal fluctuations up & down...but I need to trust the process.

I made another salad for lunch today with lots of goodies....cannellini beans, almonds, avocado & more. I still kept it a bit over 200 calories.

I woke up between 4 & 5 AM this morning and didn't immediately fall back asleep. Luckily, I didn't have to get up for anything, so was able to sleep in.

I've been lazy today. I wanted to watch last night's episode of This Is US. I follow a couple of TIU pages on FB & had to be sure I scrolled past quickly so I didn't read any details before watching.

We have Nuthatches nesting in the birdhouse Hubby hung in the rafters of the covered deck recently. The Wrens are busy, too....not in their birdhouse, but Hubby had to remove the nest they were building in his tool box in the garage. Maybe they will relocate & lay their eggs in the birdhouse outside our window. We love watching them from the kitchen table!

I think Tilapia is on tonight's menu....I have fresh green beans that sound good, too 🐟🍲

I made a bowl of sugar free cherry jello this morning. That with a spritz of whipped cream will make a good. low cal dessert 🍧

I think I'll go outside & check the potted plants to see if any need water. It rained last night, so any not under cover should be fine. Then it will be time for our walk.

You probably lost because you lowered your calories and ditched the alcohol. I don't know what it is, but alcohol just seems to halt weight loss.🤷🏻‍♀️❓

Honestly JustBananas, I maintained at or below goal for almost 2 years while drinking wine & other adult beverages regularly. No alcohol does easily reduce total calories without having to eliminate something else.

I have no problems with alcohol if I'm maintain. My weight will remain steady if I add a glass or two provided I reduce my dinner portion sizes (I don't count calories, but I know from how full I am what is reasonable). But if I try to lose weight while drinking, no matter how low I cut the daily calories, I just can't lose. I'm happy to hear you dont face the same problem like the rest of us! 😊❤️

I'm lucky that I can eat sugar, pasta, bread, rice, beef....many things some have problems with, and lose weight. Of course I have to eat in moderation & within my calorie allowance. I also really enjoy fruit & veggies, chicken & seafood, so making them the predominant ingredients of my diet with lesser amounts of some of these other foods means I don't feel deprived. I enjoy a glass or 2 of wine with my meals and include it in my plan.
