I have gone over in my calories today and did not get back to my yoga/toning routine 😐 I started out OK with breakfast & lunch. I got a craving for some Smart 50 popcorn & ate a bowl this afternoon. I had 2 large fried chicken breasts left from the deli chicken we bought for Saturday's dinner...so we had them for dinner tonight. They were kinda high in calories. I cooked fresh green beans & sliced tomatoes to go with them....that was a good choice. I also had 4 garlic knots left....Hubby had 2 & I ate 1.

I did some gardening this afternoon. I cut back some of the plants the deer had grazed on while I was away. I also cut back all the Black-eyed Susans in the front garden. They looked like the deer had trampled them a bit getting to other plants. I left the ones growing in the side garden for our feathered friends. Although the yellow petals are dying back they're still upright. The birds can enjoy the seeds. I gave everything a spray of deer repellant. Some of the Caladiums are leafing out (they were munched by the deer) & should be OK til the cold weather.

I did get in an afternoon walk....after a short nap. 😴💤 Continued with laundry today....still have a bunch to put away...bathing suits & such all air drying after a short tumble in the dryer.

We got a call Hubby's old boss, mentor & friend died this afternoon. He was 94. His daughter hooked him up with Hubby for a video call while we were up in Canada a couple of weeks ago. We knew he was declining, but it is still sad.

Time to jump in the shower & get ready for bed.
