Longer walk last night, I don't think we'll ever be able to do the 5 mile loop at night again until things are less sketchy, but we got a solid 3.5, which is good given the humidity. Yeah, yeah, it's not the South, we don't know humidity, well, yeah we do, it's 86% inside the house and it's gross. Fans help, but I really need to crank the AC and I don't like sleeping with it, so I rarely turn it on unless it's still 84 at midnight. I think I figured out what I did to myself, walking to the bar in my favorite flip flops was a stupid idea. Walking home was brilliant in a safety sense, of course, but also didn't help. It's annoying, it's a muscle thing and it will get better if I just rest it, which I intend to do. We have puppy class tonight, I'll ride the bike before or swim after and give it a rest. About to enter a block of calls, numbers are slightly off, but fine. I don't think I'm losing bone mass overnight, but who knows? Blob up, really? Go back to where you came from. Enjoy some pretty cactus flowers, these grow wild in our little park and in the canyons. Saw coyotes last night, but didn't take pics because it was too quick. Onwards. So pretty! I've never seen a flowering cactus in real life... Barely ever seen a cactus. 😁 I hope your day goes well and your flip flop bothered calf smartens up. Don't run too much during your class! I got an appointment for Friday for my darn knee. Hoping for some help... I dont think tube socks will help this. 😭

Oh, Melissa, I hope they find a simple solution for your knee because I know your walks and runs mean so much to you. Cactus flowers are so delicate compared to the plant and yet they bloom in the harshest conditions. I take pictures because they're still relatively rare even with all the cacti around here.

Salmon? You must be hungry. This bloom will turn into a cactus apple and you can eat those, and i can buy prepared cactus at my little store if you’d like it. I won’t touch it to prepare it myself though. Too dangerous. Less humid today, thankfully, but my little stucco house will absorb all the heat and radiate it back tonight. Fan city until winter.

Humidity is bad further up here too LA-wise. A new guy at work is my true dream jokester and made fun of my hair yesterday! It is natural curly and loves to be frizzy when it’s even a little damp out.
Today he brought grapes in from his neighbor’s yard, they were sour. I told him with a little care they could be sweeter, he asked if that goes for wife’s too?😁 🤣
He is British and loves to jokes and you know me game is on!!😁
