After breakfast and first cup of coffee. Had an accidentally great swim last night. Knocked out the first set, there was something going on out in the yard with the dogs where I could hear it (so super loud) and I had to stop, take off the paddles and flippers and get out to make sure they weren't mauling something. They weren't. The pool is supposed to let me stop and then continue for the rest of the thirty minutes. Usually does. Didn't last night. I ended up knocking out another full thirty minutes on top of the original without even realizing it until I looked at my stats later. Yay!!! Gonna start adding more time rather than turning up the speed, I think. I won't always have time for a solid hour, but I can add ten to fifteen minutes.
Broken up swim (affects METs, heart rate) 948 strokes, average heart rate 136, 28 minutes in cardio, 9 in fat burn, 10 in warm up, none in peak, for 9.4METs. My perceived rate would be low 10. The fact that I lost count and swam the extra 15 is what I'm really excited about.
Yard today. House tomorrow. Plan on swimming both days. Trying to reimagine the setup of my back yard. May tear off and relocate a big piece of my deck to use the entire yard better. Need the price of lumber to settle down but will plan on reusing as much as I can. Need to hire some big guys to relocate my fountain. Gotta do it on a budget with a lot of sweat equity. enjoy the day.
