After 6 months I am finally updating my weight. I had stayed in a range of 5 pounds or 6 months or so. The past couple of days I went above that range. Knew I was going to start sticking to a low fat diet and also focus on calories needed to maintain my goal weight of 140 - between 1400 and 1680 calories a day. So I had a couple of meals I won't be eating for a while, a huge cheeseburger and fries and a chicken pot pie plus my last baked potato with BUTTER. So I am ready for today and the plan is to weigh myself on the 1st of each month.
On the kitty news. I still have the 2 little mew mews. I took them to the shelter, then brought them back from the shelter because their pictures in their adoption posting upset me so much. They look terrified and I didn't want them to be scared. Once I got them home I realized the situations as to why I really can't have 6 cats still exist. I've talked to the shelter and was told they could try to match me up with applications for cats from people and let us work it out if they want to adopt them. They had someone for me to meet and I was scheduled to take the kitties to the shelter to meet a lady who was interested in meeting both of them as well as other cats. Then they called and said since my cats are not Sammie's Friends (the shelter) cats I can't bring them to the shelter but they'll give the lady my phone number. I asked if they could be Sammie's cats and I could foster them at my house until a suitable home is found. Was told no, not at this time. They have to take in stray cats, but these are my cats because I've been taking care of them. Mixed feelings. I know it would be best to find a good home for them, but I am just loving them so much!
