Got in a short walk last night as the breeze gave some relief from the smoke. Preferable because with the AC the dogs are nuts in confined spaces. Saved a mourning cloak butterfly from being crushed, ran into a friend who took it home to give it some simple nectar. Saw a wild hare in the canyon, the coyote pups have likely left the den and moved on as I haven't seen any sign of them or their mother in about two weeks.

Trying to think up some watermelon ideas for the day. My grandmother used to eat watermelon with mayo. That's a hard nope for me, but I'm sure I can come up with something that tastes good.
