That's annoying. Strong swim last night, #36 of the current series, long pulls, full paddle, 864 strokes, average heart rate high 130's, 10.4METs. Didn't expect the muscle mass to go down this week vs. blob, but there ya go. I will be emptying out a tightly packed car for someone this afternoon, most likely, so there's my strength training for the day. Will swim later. Trying to figure out how I got off track swimming every day again besides the most obvious answer of "work". 15 swims in 27 days of June. We'll begin the counting again.

The good news is that I seem to have reached a new level of performance in my "old age" of past 29. I'm stronger, fitter and getting better. I'd probably laugh at my technique and strokes if I took a video. If I can figure out how to do that without endangering the phone, I will. I was watching a MP video last night, his technique is insane, but his arms are longer than I am tall, so we won't even pretend. I do miss starting blocks. And no, I was never, ever, even anywhere near that good. I'm just doing this for me. I want to be better than I am. And I'm doing it.

Clear goggles should arrive Tuesday. Happy. I'm swimming with gunmetal grey right now and it's tough once the sun goes down. Pool is lit, but at the surface. I don't know exactly why, but it's much harder to swim a straight line in the dark.

Woodpecker in the giant birds of paradise this morning as I type. Even harder to catch a good shot of him because he's literally inside the plant going after bugs. Pretty little bird.

Onward with the weekend! It is the weekend, right? Am I missing a meeting? I don't even know. Oh, and we're not doing the Fourth. I may go have a drink with a friend tonight, but we're bringing our own wipes, face shields and straws if we do. If things are crazy, it's a no go. Not worth the risk with the spike here.

Great on the swimming, I really miss it. Difficult to keep track of the days when there's no variety. Enjoy your outing and stay safe. A little flicker used to visit a tree outside my office window when I was working. I have a robin visitor lately, which is strange, robins aren't usually here during the summer months.

What a great swim! And... No one is like Phelps, a beautiful mutant perfectly designed to be a swimming machine! 😁 We had a woodpecker visit today too! New suit feeder. She brought her baby and was feeding him between gulping the food down herself. What is with bird babies? "I can fly, but mommy put food in my mouth. I don't know how to eat!" What the heck bird? You can fly! Eating is easy... Don't we all know that here! 🙄 I'm glad you are getting your new goggles. Tough when you can't see where you are at. Did you mention before you use a snorkel? I think you did... That must be so much more efficient.
