At least the majority of the diverticulitis weight went away quickly. I've got 2.5 to go from a huge gain of 8. Ate well yesterday, did frenzied housework in lieu of walking or swimming since I have company coming over tonight after work. Will try and get a swim in. If it's not hot this weekend, gonna take a hike with the pups after a couple hours of work tomorrow morning. Yeah, we're on the clock every Saturday through the end of September. At least I get up and running early.

I got a yellow dress in the mail yesterday in advance of my birthday later this month. It needs to be hemmed and it can't be my usual hack job. I've got it pinned up already, but I think I'm going to have to hem it by hand after I finish the raw edge with the machine. Something to do in bed before I fall asleep instead of reading, I guess. Pretty hard deadline as we're going out for dinner and it just needs to get done.

Goals. Maybe I combine the food budget with the clothes budget and if I don't eat it, I can wear it? Kidding, working from home, there's really no chance my dream vision of floating through the house in ethereal white gauze dresses with the sound of surf in the background will ever come into being. Three large dogs, a mostly dirt yard due to three large dogs, and did I mention three large dogs? I also don't live anywhere near the beach.
