Actually personal training books teaches you some sports nutrition also. They tell you the value of high glycemic foods and when they can benefit you. High glycemic aka simple carbs. Yes white carbs and white sugars is actually beneficial for performance as well as recovery. What happens is these personal trainers knows people that took the tests and never really read the whole book. They just take prep courses and pass the test. Online “trainers” most of them are not even qualified. That’s why there’s so much misinformation out there as far as fitness goes. The best part is carbs destroys the brain 🤣
