I have been forcing myself to drink extra water at night lately. I have been wondering if there is such a thing as drinking too much water? Another question concerns fiber. I don't hear much talk about fiber here. Lately I have been adding it back the things that I think worked in my diet. Any thoughts about fiber?

I eat an high fiber diet. Maybe too high for many. But I feel great :)

I noticed when I eat a lot of fiber, I have regular movements, and that makes me happy! Probably TMI, but if you aren't having any issues with THAT problem, you might be eating enough fiber. I guess the only way to know for sure is to experiment since each of us are different. Good luck on your journey and congrats on losing over 155 pounds so far! That's amazing!!

It's possible to drink so much water that you mess up your electrolyte balance, people have died from it. But you'd have to drink a lot to do it. As for fiber, IMO it's important for health, a healthy colon among other things.

John, due to intense activity dehydration I have to be careful with both water and fiber intake...especially in the mountains where the relative humidity is very low. I've been using sugar free Metamucil to add fiber when I need it...it has been a lifesaver...just be careful to not overdo it ;)
