Hmm. Weight up a little this morning. Maybe because I didn't get in as much water yesterday (with drinking the extra 1 can of Diet Coke), maybe because my knees have inflammation this morning from all the activity expended on the pool yesterday. I'm thankful that, in ten weeks, I've had very few days where my weight actually went UP. Not going to complain. Just stick with the program, and I'm sure it will go back down - probably by tomorrow.

All we have to do today is let the water out of the pool to below the pump lines, remove and store the pump and hoses, and sort the pool toys into what we're keeping and what we're throwing away. Tomorrow will be the very strenuous day.

I have eaten all the honeydew and watermelon out of my fruit bowl and only cantaloupe and pineapple are remaining. So, I bought a small watermelon yesterday which I'm going to cut into it today. I looked for a honeydew, but they were all super cold, like they had been frozen, so I didn't take a chance on them.

Had a very productive day yesterday! In addition to doing the solar cover, I went to Food Lion and Publix for a couple of things, went to the bank (after forgetting it was closed and going on Monday), made Parsleyed Potatoes, sauteed mushrooms and onions, and cooked carrots with butter and cinnamon sugar. I also washed up all those cooking dishes -- all that started at 4am.

Don't have money to give my son and DIL an anniversary present, so I baked a Rum Cake for my husband to take to them tomorrow. I actually made that on Monday, because it gets better every day that it sits. Good thing is that they do not like nuts on it! If I had made it with the pecans on the top, it would have been very hard to not give them a cake with a couple of slices cut out of it!

Hope everyone has a good day today! I'm mainly just resting up for the grueling day facing us tomorrow. Pool closing will involve (1) attaching a Winter Ball somehow to the three 4' pillows that have to be tied into the center of the pool. Last year I had to get INTO the pool to be able to wrangle them, but that's not possible this year, so it will be harder. (2) Putting the cover on the pool and securing it with a wench wire. (3) Putting twelve 8' water tubes along the edges on top of the cover, and filling them half full of water. (4) wrapping the edges of the cover with this special blue plastic wrap to keep wind from getting up under it and blowing the cover off. (5) Putting on the leaf net and securing it with a winch wire. Most of those steps will involve having the help of my twin friends and the homeless guy who lived with us for 2-1/2 years, just because we need many hands. PRAYING it won't be windy when we have to put on the cover. Some years, the wind has caught the cover and it was all we could do to hold onto it.

What a lot of work that pool is! Hope it goes well tomorrow. Happy for your weight loss generally but of course, there will be days of it up/down, then down/up. Me too. Hope too that your knees hold out.
