Started strong last week, and ended like crap. This stress has been overwhelming!! Issues with the bank yesterday and a Job interview yesterday.. it went well. I really want this position! It's Monday through Friday, Half day Wednesday, full benefits. My family NEEDS this! I just submitted all of my references (its all done online now) and once those are complete I should have the opportunity to interview with the doctor. (I'm a medical assistant). It took me all night but I ended up getting a hold of some former co-workers and supervisors from when I was teaching, and I know they will give me amazing references. But all this pressure has me on pins and needles! And what makes me feel better when I'm stressed.... Food. I eat, just to eat. But I'm trying to break that. The food is not the answer. Heading to the gym here shortly, that should help me work some of this stress out!! Always feel better after a work out, its just getting there that's the problem.

I hope you get the job! I've got my fingers crossed for you. A good workout always helps when I'm feeling stressed, but I'm like you and tend to reach for the food. We just have to remember that a good walk will help a lot more than a candy bar (and then some) when we're stressed. Good luck!!

Thank you both! I'm very hopeful. My trip to the gym helped. Luckily my gym has a tot watch program so for a couple dollars I was able to leave the kids in tot watch and have a little 'me' time in the cardio room. Pounded it out on the elliptical for 45 minutes, and sweat it all out. No use worrying now, just sit back and wait to see if they call. I agree mars2kids, I definitely need to remember that exercise helps more than food, and comes with none of the guilt! I'm going to be focusing on that this week, and hopefully getting back on track with the weight loss.
