"No, don't bring the cheddar biscuits," I whispered as the server walked away. So color me happy that I one bite in I recognized I didn't enjoy them so I pushed them away. Now, to be fair, I wasn't at Red Lobster so it was a little easier.
But I'm recognizing I'm reaching that point of eating clean when my sense of taste seems more acute and I'm able to stop eating something I'm not absolutely enjoying. And the biscuit was sub par so away with it. I then totally enjoyed the grilled salmon, broccoli, and mixed vegetable dinner. Yum.
Very pleased with a fasting blood sugar of 104 and a mid afternoon of 113. Still higher than the acceptable levels but for me it's a win. A couple of months ago it was consistently 300+.
I'm at the theater tonight.. Driving Miss Daisy. Time to put the phone away.
