Hello everyone! I've been on here for a little over a month, but I am just getting to write this.

A few fun facts... I'm a single mother of two girls, 8 and 7, who are my world. Puerto Rican family but we live in VA. I work in HR and am a part time dance teacher.

I joined this community to see if I can make some real changes. I was never a calorie counter or any kind of counter for that matter. I ate what I wanted but tried to use portion control. My weakness is ice-cream and salty snacks... especially chips! It has been difficult to cut these but I have a goal and I'm determined! I want to loose the extra fat and then focus more on building muscle. I love love lifting weights and incorporating that with HIIT workouts. It's tough for me to find time to workout being a single mom who works full time but I do what I can whenever I can, with the equipment I have in my basement. I like having this community because it gives me a sense of accountability, and seeing everyone's process is comforting just knowing I am not alone on this journey. We all have our struggles and I think it's important to have a good support system.

I never really followed a diet or counted calories, like I said before, so this is new to me. I am on the Keto Diet and have found it to be effective so far. I'm still trying to figure out what works for me and I'm hoping this will be a long term change in my life. I like the motivation that this community is giving me and I'm looking forward to seeing changes! 💪🏼
