Yesterday could have been a hard day at work
I go on a one week vacation on Thursday so I have a lot of items to pass on to the coworkers of the 4 person team I lead. This can be stressful as there is not much time and a lot to cover. Then management kept scheduling pop up meetings with additional work of other things they want done before I leave. This is a perfect situation for my head to explode.
Instead I did what I could and let the rest go. This is not fast 1-4 day behavior, this is fast 5+ day behavior. My perspective on everything changes when I know there is no dinner at the end of the day. What I have right now (a bottle of Fiji water) is all I "get" today. There is no "thing in the future" that will "fix" my mood and make me feel better than I do right now.
I lifted weights for 1/2 an hour and did a 2 mile walk for lunch.

@marshakanady - Thanks! I'm at the point where it has become easy to just drink water all day. I had to go out to a site visit and afterwards my coworkers wanted to eat so I actually say there drinking water while they ate huge plates of food. I was actually ok because I don't have any hunger. However, on Thursday I break the 11 day fast...

you're doing awesome on this fasting stuff. your my hero. i do 16:8---might try to do longer. i see it works well for you! :)

@marshakanady - Two months ago I thought even a 24 hour fast was crazy. I knew there was NO WAY I could do it. I only tried it because my wife (who had done 3 day fasts in the past) planned to do one before we go on vacation. And yes I started with 1 day, then 2 day, then 3 day, then 4 day... before going for the current 11 day :) I have been spending my time thinking about my relationship with food and came to the conclusion that when I eat I eat to 'feel full'. So the whole 'carefully manage what you eat' clearly does not work for me :( My plan after I drop the weight from fasting is to go to one meal a day. But, I plan to keep 5 day fasting when I get back from vacation.
