Hello, my lovely people, I just want to say this and hope I'm not abusing everyone. There are people out there who have cleaners. Most of you will be so wonderful and kind and caring. If you have a cleaner or a person who cleans shit out of horse stable, etc. Please don't treat them as though they are no one. We are all equal caring, loving, kind people we hope we work for the same. I was bought up very posh, very wealthy and wes treated with much love and respect by my Mother when she died My Step Father was pure evil he abused me and told me I was worthless, stupidcand knew nothing and no one in their right mind would want me I was drilled into this mind every second of every day until I believed that. I ended up completely nutty and took a chap off the street a drunk and taken drugs and dhole my house keeping and children money every day also continues raped me 4, 6 6 times every day I took this to be right because my Step Father said that was me and that's what I deserved. I had my children put into care and adopted because I could barely look after myself, let alone my children. I am happy now with Jim, and I could not be happier because I know my children are happy with their children. And yes, he said I would amount to nothing, just a common scrubber. Yes, that's basically what I am. And although the girls swear far too much, they are helpful and kind and go out of their way to help others. I am that same person, and yes, I hate the swaring but can't knock the job. Yes, I'm scrubbed toilets and washing floors, etc . But it could be happier. So those of you who have a shit cleaner after animals or a scrubber upper I. your home, remember this we are all human, kind-hearted, loveable people, please be the same back. Kindness and good will doesn't cost anything. so please stop, think before you might wipe the dirt from your shoes it could be me. Or somebody much the same. Thanks for reading my life and thoughts. aw Mel that was moving, I work in a canteen but we have cleaners in the factory n people just don't care, if it wasn't for cleaners they wouldn't be a job, cleaners are the most important part of that factory, did u no it was national cleaner day last week?? xx

This makes me sad because it’s so true. I was always brought up to treat people the way I wanted to be treated and still try to do that the best I can. People who tread on others or make fun of them generally have a hole in their heart that makes them mean. Glad you persevered and have found your own way to happiness.

I had a difficult childhood too. I am happy that I survived and have had a good life but I attribute it to the grace of God. My very first job was as a junior lifeguard at a pool. We got the honor of fishing turds out of the pool. LOL. My very first job full time job was as a soda jerk/waitress/short order cook/dishwasher/clerk in a drug store. Then I worked part time cleaning rich peoples houses while I went to college. I'm glad I had those jobs because after I became an interior decorator and later a nurse I understood the value of every person on the planet who is decent, kind, and hard working. Those jobs made me a better human being. You have done well in life too.

Thank you for your post. there's no excuse for disrespecting anyone at a job site. Life is just better for all of us if we treat each other with dignity. I had an experience of someone yelling abusively at me. It was terribly upsetting, and now I stear clear of that jerk. And I see that a lot of other people do too.

Mel. this is an unjust world at times. For me the most important jobs are the least paid and most undervalued. for example exactly where would be without those who manage sewerage or those who collect our rubbish or work at council tips and sweep the streets and so on .... we would all be in a huge horrible mess. add to that those who clean up after us all (yep I have been a cleaner too.). these are the people who for me should be the best paid and most valued. I certainly do value them. we should all respect each and every other person we are all equally important and noone has the right to look down others. and I think its hateful that your experiences have at times been disrespectful and unkind and cruel... shame on them. what is most wonderful and amazing is your continuing positive attitude and the kindness and cheerfulness you show us all in such a supportive encouraging way. you are an inspiration and I wish you joy and happiness every day. if I was religious I would ask God to bless you but I am not so I will bless you instead!! thank you Mel

Hi Merry Mel. 🩷 I’ve read your posts many times but haven’t commented. This one struck a cord. I own a cleaning business, I’m an entrepreneur and do 90% of the work myself, any help I get is my own family working with me (and yes, I pay them lol). I’ve been doing this for 16 years. I used to meet people and say ‘I’m just a cleaner.’ I stopped that years ago. We are NOT just cleaners!! You and I work ourselves dead beat tired because people need us. I cannot imagine what some places would be like if they didn’t have a cleaner/housekeeper. They would be buried in feces, pet hair and filth. We are crucial to their health and even safety at times. I’ve picked up nails, broken glass etc. that homeowners have not seen and their toddlers or babies or dogs would’ve walked on. You have a very important job and life. I’m so sorry for your hardships, no one on earth deserves that. But there’s one who can mend those hurts and scars and that’s Jesus. He has been my Savior for many years and can do that for anyone who asks Him, to have their sins forgiven and to find hope for this life and the one to come. God bless you. cleaning is hard work , I don't care if someone is a cleaner or a director of multi million pound business. we are all people and I always treat people the way I would like to be treated. Respect goes along way . You seem like a lovely person Mel , keep doing what your doing with your head held high. xx

But if we all start now helping others who cannot help themselves. Anyway far too much of me, me, me. How do you all need help? I will help you all if I can.
