WebMD recommends at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity activity per week. Good starting point.

It depends on your goals. If just starting out, take it a bit slow so you don’t injure yourself! I work at a desk so don’t get much physical activity. I aim for 60 minutes of exercise a day 6 days a week. Some days I only hit 45. Currently trying to tone muscle and build endurance in my life. 💪🏼

When I was cutting, I was doing light cardio every day 1-2hrs. During my bulk, I'm doing 5 days a week of weights about 1hr 20mins daily.

I am an outlier here. I’m not dieting I just like to monitor my eating patterns, nutrition and activities to aid in staying healthy. I swim and our hike every day because I love it. But, I’m older, retired and don’t have a job, husband or kids to consider. The important thing is do the best you can. Find activities that you can INCLUDE your kids on so that you kill two birds with one stone— encourage physical activity and promote family bonding in a fun setting. Hiking and playing “explorer” is wonderful for all. Best of luck to you.

I strength train twice a week but walk daily. In the summer, I walk 30-60 minutes a day, strength train 3 times per week and swim

Every day... three to five dog walks are necessary for about 4 miles total. Then some other form of cardio daily and weight/abs three times a week. I live in the mountains out west where our average daily winter temp can sometimes only get to 10, so cardio in the winter requires creativity. For example, I have a road bike on a trainer so when i watch tv i just sit and pedal away - easy movement while watching HGTV. I also have a lot of dumbells, a bosu ball and resistence bands at home in case i miss the open gym hours. Nine months of the year i can walk two blocks and access bike and running trails, which is awesome. My workouts are easier due to the fact I'm not retired but have a lot of flexibility with work, and when i travel for work within my state i try my best to run or walk somewhere new. i also look for opportunities to do simple stuff that gets me off my behind (ie, when driving cross country i do pushups and step-ups at each rest stop - and yes, people look at me like i'm a weirdo) and i use hotel gyms when there is one. For me exercise is a lifestyle and it allows me a lot of room in what i eat; i rarely view it as a chore. My dad is 97 and he rides his spin bike and rows on a machine daily in his basement, so i was brought up to value movement and sweat- things i am truly grateful for and have the luxury of integrating into my daily routine.

weight train 6 days a week. focusing on 1 body part per day once a week has always given me the best results. the ol bro split as it's called.

I like a little everyday cardio- 20 minutes to an hour on a stationary bike in front of a TV or on my phone usually does the trick. Then every other day, the Chloe ting challenge. Go on her website and sign up if u want, it's free. There's a daily planned warm-up , full body, specified area(leg day, arm day, ab day, etc), then a cool down. Everyone is different. This just gives me a good workout without next day pain.

5 days 40-60 min strength and cardio. If I’m not losing weight, at least I’m looking and feeling better, which leads to better eating. Upward spiral!

I used to do 3 days a week hard, but now that I'm doing this lower calorie diet and logging everything I try and do 5-6 days a week and I have lost 25 lbs in 6 weeks. I try and burn calories at least 6 days a week, it makes it easier to stay active if you do something everyday. For example, I play golf or do circuit training or weights every day, and my energy has gone through the roof. Quit drinking and weed too which has helped a lot with eating better. Best I've felt in years and I'm only 6 weeks in! 💪🏻👍🏻

Thanks everyone for your comments!! 3-7 days seems to be a norm. I will continue to maintain momentum here!

I exercise everyday, but I subscribe to the philosophy that exercise has NOTHING to do with weight loss. so i do it for other reasons. weight loss is entirely diet choices and controlling behavior with food.

I have a small trampoline and I jump 30 minutes every morning. I walk a lot at work, so most days I hit my step goal without difficulty. When I'm off though I struggle. I have to get up and walk around or go outside and move. I use hand weights most days when I jump, so it ramps up the intensity. Ease into it and find a routine you can stick to for the long run.

4 days a week. I keep it to under an hour. lift 40 minutes and cardio 20 minutes. I had back surgery and had to work on endurance, running, climber machine, and oculus games helped me to greatly increase my cardiovascular health. I want to lose 30 lbs but it comes off slowly because I have always been active. i try stick to 1200 daily calories mostly because I want to train my stomach to not go overboard as I had been doing during the pandemic, which caused a lot of gut issues. it has helped to reduce bloating and that nauseated feeling I would get.

I know I'm a minority, especially for my age( 65) but I work out 6 days a week, 1.5 hrs each time. I lift weights mostly. It works for me.👍

Diana 1234 you are a rarity!!! That is amazing!! Keep it up! Im 29, and osteoarthritis plagues my knee and reoccurring back pain can keep me couch bound! im trying to break that cycle after 3 years with gained/maintained 60 lbs post pregnancy. Used to be a 115lb boxer 🥊, and thats all i want to get back to.. obesity has aged me more then the years have!
