It's in Bristol chestnut. He went there a few months after we had the massive falling out when he was living with us. He wont speak to me now and last time I visited he pushed me away. He has dementia - which was diagnosed by our GP but the family would not accept it. Have to say that with our experience of seeing our patients with dementia it was no surprise and we could read it in his behaviour. Mood swings, denying he had said something, forgetting what we had planned and them saying he hadnt been told, changing his mind, not knowing who people were on the phone (one long conversation with my nephew he put the phone down saying 'well I dont know who that was but he was very rude -he kept asking me personal questions about what I had been doing'.... Ah well - at least he is getting the care he needs - although they dont usually take people with dementia so I am hoping he doesnt have to move. One of his latest comments was 'I dont know why I was forced to live in this hotel I was perfectly happy living at the office'.... Then the time he said he had three men sitting in his room at 6am in their underpants waiting for a taxi ! If i get like that I have given G permission to drown me! He answered 'who says you are going first?' *sigh*
