Coffee and tea also count in your tally. Many used to believe that they were dehydrating, but that myth has been debunked. The diuretic effect does not offset hydration.Sep 9, 2011

huh. I hadn't heart that yet. thank you. I drink at least 36oz of coffee every morning and I end up drinking at least a quart to offset it.

I think it's personal preference whether you want to include coffee in your water count. With my Daily Accountability Challenges, I suggest counting the water in coffee and tea, but NOT counting it for sodas, juices, alcohol, etc. Really, it's up to YOU.
